IT Business Partner

Job description

We are looking for an IT Business Partner to join our team based in Amsterdam! Your #1 goal will be to be the partner for the digital & e-commerce team to create, improve and maintain a worldclass e-commerce environment. 


Our E-commerce team is responsible for setting a vision and set business priorities, your responsibility is to challenge this vision and priorities to build a technical roadmap based upon it.  In this role, you will keep strong relationships with various stakeholders, execute excellent backlog management and prioritization of needs.  You know the IT roadmap by heart, you will align the e-comm business priorities with the overall IT roadmap with your fellow Business Partners and the IT Lead. 


You'll be an integral part of our IT team and report to the IT Lead helping us push the boundaries of what's possible in the chocolate industry. You will collaborate closely with the E-commerce lead/team, IT business partners and IT steerco.  What you will do: 

  • Drive the technical roadmap and challenge all functional wishes, demands and changes on technical feasibility, IT goals, roadmap, and dependencies with other wishes from your colleague business partners.  
  • Monitor the spend on E-commerce to stay within the yearly budget. Evaluate all raised tickets, changes and project against budget and business value. 
  • Align sprint planning with development / integration partner(s). 
  • Together with the business partners, implement a new E-commerce landscape and streamline this to make sure the right decision is being made. 
  • Create and maintain worldclass E-commerce landscape.  
  • Align functional and technical roadmap. 
  • Discuss and align demands/changes from all Tony’s teams and iron out dependency issues. 
  • Align demands/wishes with IT goals and roadmap. 
  • Update steerco members and prep Steerco decision. 

Job requirements

  • Functional & technical knowledge and experience with Shopify Plus, our chosen E-commerce engine is essential.
  • Min 5 years experience with agile development methodologies (such as scrum agile) and proven record building new functionalities and developing software.
  • In depth knowledge and understanding technical knowledge on e-commerce, CMS, OMS, PIM and related services.
  • Strong vision on E-commerce development and experience in data analysis.
  • Customer focused, both internal as well as external; know the E-commerce customers.
  • Strong communicator who has prior experience in stakeholder management on all levels (C, Lead, team)
